RIDI HYDROPOWER DEVELOPMENT CO LTD.

The company was established in 2000 A.D. with a mission to develop hydroelectric projects and help nation to fulfill local electricity demand. The motto of the company has been “Hydropower through Peoples’ Participation”. The Company works towards eradication of poverty in Nepal through various developmental activities also. The major activities include promotion of alternative energy through small hydropower with participatory approach of rural communities and societies. The company has constructed and is operating a 2400kW Ridikhola Small Hydropower Project, in Gulmi district, Western Development Region. The company was jointly promoted with other groups in Nepal and today is listed on the national stock exchange. After the successful listing the company is exploring newer areas to further invest in small hydropower projects.

The group also co-promotes Rairang Hydropower Development co., which is currently operating a 500kW hydropower on Rairang river and is also constructing another 9900kW on Iwakhola river.

Balephi Hydropower Ltd. is established to develop hydropower managed by a team of diversified well-experienced professionals, local and successful businessmen from various disciplines such as Management, Economics, Engineering, Education, Law, Human Resources, and Public Affairs; committed to bringing excellence in the corporate and public governance. The company’s core business is Hydropower development managing comprehensive management of study to carry out a feasibility study to determine the technical feasibility and financial viability of the Hydropower Project, which will be interconnected with the Integrated Nepal Power System (INPS).
